As every year, February in Berlin is all about film!
With the I OF THE LENS exhibition, we are putting cinematographers from all over the world in the spotlight and thus – unusually for the profession – in front of the camera. The result – life-size self-portraits, The cinematographers have embarked on this venture in parallel to showing their view of the world in their own photographs.
Life-sized portraits of distinguished cinematographers from across the globe accompanied by their art.
Curated and produced by Vika Safrigina & Susanna Kraus, the visionary artist behind IMAGO Camera.

IMAGO Camera, the world’s only analogue, large format camera transcends the cinematographers normal range of experience by creating an opportunity to step into the spotlight and become authors of their own images.
In partnership with IMAGO — International Federation of Cinematographers’ Diversity and Inclusion Committee, SUMOLIGHT lighting solutions, and Leitz Cine, the exhibition aims to celebrate the diversity of filmmakers who breathe life into the grand canvas of the movie screen.
