BEFLUGELT (WINGED)

Dear Friends of IMAGO,

On the occasion of the EMOP Berlin – European Month of Photography – we are very pleased to present the exhibition BEFLÜGELT by the fashion photographer Esther Haase (Hamburg, London) and to invite you to the opening
on the 2nd October from 7pm – 9pm at the IMAGO Artspace in the Aufbau Haus at Moritzplatz.

The solo exhibition shows a selection of works from the series Beflügelt (2014), an experiment in fashion photography carried out under the direction of Esther Haase for which she put her usual camera aside and used the unique technical and aesthetic standards of the IMAGO Camera. Susanna Kraus, artistic director of IMAGO, devoted her specialist IMAGO know how to support Esther Haase in the creation of the images.

A limited edition of lifesize black and white photographs was created. A team of three very different models contributed with special support from the stylist Irina Skladkowski and the make-up artist Gabrielle Theurer. Philip Traecy, Queen Elizabeth’s hat maker, provided the hat creations.

In addition, during the exhibition, a film by the photographer Andreas Michael Velten explaining the process behind the creation of the images will be shown.

The vernissage will be accompanied by a wine tasting from our sponsor Perego & Perego (Italy).
